Theft

Saanich Police are seeking public assistance in relation to an alleged theft of groceries from a grocery store in the 1200 blk of McKenzie Ave.

The suspect loaded groceries in a brown rolling suitcase and left the store without paying. The suspect then travelled east bound on McKenzie Ave before being spotted on BC transit traveling south bound on Shelbourne. Police circulated in the area where he was spotted but due to the delay in receiving this information the subject was not located.

ROBBERY

Saanich Police are seeking public assistance in identifying this male in relation to a robbery.

On Feb 3, 2026, at approximately 830 pm a store employee attempted to stop a suspect from stealing items from Walmart located at 3460 Saanich Road. The suspect punched the victim in the head and then fled through an emergency exit. The property was recovered but the victim sustained injury to his face.

Victoria Police are seeking public assistance in identifying three suspects in the alleged theft of two electric scooters and one electric bicycle valued at over $5400.

On the morning of 17 November 2025 two suspects broke into a locked bike storage room at 45 George Road East. Once inside suspects stole two black and red Synergy Aviator electric scooters and one light blue electric bicycle.

Saanich Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect in relation to a break and enter at a business. On 5 December at 3:40 am police responded to an alarm in the 4000 block of Shelbourne St and discovered a break-in had occurred. Electronic equipment valuing over $5000 was stolen.

Suspect – Male, 25 to 35 years old

Wearing: knee length white winter jacket with hood, a blue flat brim baseball cap with a white patch on the front with the black letters stating “PACIFIC,” flat skater style shoes with white soles, black and grey top, and black laces.

ASSAULT

Saanich Police are seeking public assistance in identifying this individual. On Jan 8, 2026, the victim was attempting to get off bus # 72 near Douglas St and Kelvin Rd when victims gym bag accidently bushed the suspect. The suspect began yelling anti-immigration and racist remarks towards the victim and struck him in the arm and face. The bus driver was successful in deescalating the suspect and removed him from the bus.

Saanich police are seeking public assistance in identifying two people in relation to a theft of credit cards and fraud. The victim noticed his credit cards missing from his gym locker at a fitness center in the 3500 block of Blanshard St. The cards were there used to fraudulently purchase merchandise totalling $1478.00 at London Drugs and Best Buy.

West Shore RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying 3 suspects in relation to frauds which occurred between December 2025 and January 2026.  The suspects are alleged to have used US counterfeit currency to purchase merchandise from a local West Shore retailer resulting in thousands of dollars’ worth of fraud.

Suspect 1 is described as:

  • Male with light skin colour.
  • Approximately 35- 45 years old.
  • Dark coloured facial hair (chin strap style beard).
  • Wearing dark-coloured pants and dark coloured reflective work jacket.

Suspect 2 is described as:

  • Male with light skin colour.
  • Approximately 35- 45 years old.
  • Dark coloured facial hair (short, boxed style beard).
  • Wearing a grey, orange and black toque, tan coloured zip up fleece sweater, green pants and black flip flops.

Suspect 3 is described as:

  • Male with light skin colour.
  • Approximately 25- 35 years old.
  • Dark coloured facial hair (chin strap style beard).
  • Wearing a black toque, blue windbreaker jacket with yellow pipping, light coloured shirt, grey joggers with black stripe down the side, black runners with white sole.

The suspects are associated to a black 2021-2026 Chrysler Grand Caravan, bearing partial BC license plate of T1L***.

Saanich Police are seeking public assistance with identifying suspects in relation to the violent robbery of a fourteen-year-old boy in the 1000 block of McKenzie Ave. On 1 December 2025 at approximately 3:20 pm the victim was attacked from behind, knocked to the ground and punched in the head several times. The suspect then stole his phone and fled in an older black Mercedes waiting in the area.

Suspect #1 – White male, approximately 30 years old, 5’10” tall, wearing dark jacket, sweatpants.

Between September 17, 2024, and March 6, 2025, five significant incidents of copper theft from BC Hydro maintenance holes in Greater Victoria and Colwood areas. The value of the cables and repair is over $170,000.

There are significant public safety risks due to maintenance hole covers removed/not replaced, potential power outages, electrical fires, and work-related risk to Hydro crews repairing stolen cables. Suspects would have to possess technical knowledge and require specialized equipment to pull up the cables.

Suspect 1 – Caucasian female, black and yellow coat, black pants, distinct yellow, orange, and black Nike shoes, tie dye backpack and pink scarf.

On Oct 31, 2024, at approximately 6:45pm, Saanich Police responded to a carjacking at the McDonald’s drive-thru on Saanich Rd.

A suspect, dressed in all black and wearing a mask, approached a Black 2002 Honda Civic as it was preparing to leave the drive thru. The suspect opened the driver’s door, indicated they had a weapon and demanded the owner exit the vehicle. The suspect then drove off eastbound on Saanich Rd.

The vehicle owner, who was shaken up by the incident, was physically unharmed and sought help inside McDonald’s, where someone called police.

Oak Bay Arson

On August 9, 2024, at approximately 1:00am, Oak Bay Police Department were dispatched to a report of a fire at business located in the 2000 block of Oak Bay Avenue.

Police members quickly arrived on scene and were informed by two staff members that they had been inside the business after closing time and heard someone near the front doors of the business. They went to investigate and saw flames outside the front door of the building. Staff acted quickly and put the fire out with a fire extinguisher.

The suspect poured a liquid over the front steps and front door mat of the business, lighting the liquid on fire before fleeing on foot.

The suspect appears to be a white male, wearing a dark coloured balaclava, denim jacket, camo patterned pants, red running shoes and camo styled backpack.

Fortunately, there was no damage to the building, and no one was injured.

Assault on a Victoria Bus

Victoria Police Department are investigating an assault that took place on a bus on the number 11 route.

The assault happened at about 7.30pm on Friday September 6th

The incident took place on the bus as it travelled along Fort Street.

The suspect unprovokedly attacked a male victim in the presence of his young daughter. The victim was punched in the face multiple times before another passenger intervened to which resulted another fight. The suspect pushed the passenger to the ground before fleeing the scene.

The suspect pictured, is described as wearing a black Under- Armour hat, green hoodie, grey pants, black and white New Balance shoes. He had a brown beard.

Robbery in Saanich

Saanich Police are investigating a robbery that took place at an “E-Bike” store on Royal Oak Drive.

The suspect in the pictures entered the store and asked to test ride a bike. He was asked for ID and when he couldn’t produce any was told he couldn’t ride one. He then distracted the store associate and grabbed ahold of one of the E bikes and went to leave the store. The associate challenged him and blocked the door to stop him from leaving.

Another staff member tried to restrain him, but the suspect broke free and began pushing the associate out the way, injuring them. To prevent further injury to the staff they let the suspect flee.

He is described as a 6ft, slim build, black male. He had drywall dust on his clothes and mud on his boots. He wore a white tee shirt and grey pants, his hat was a blue tilly hat.

West Shore RCMP is investigating a report of a break and enter and theft that took place on June 16, 2024.
On June 16, at approximately 7:15 a.m., a flat deck utility trailer with two ATV’s attached to it was stolen. The flat deck utility trailer was parked at the Island Earth Landscaping business lot located at the corner of Westhills Drive and Langford Lake Drive in Langford.
Police have collected video surveillance showing the suspect vehicle towing away the stolen trailer.
Description of the suspect vehicle:
-Dark colored newer model 4-door F150 pick up truck;
-Blacked out tinted front and rear windows;
-Large dent on the passenger side door frame;
-No front licence plate;
-Towing a stolen flat deck utility trailer with 2 ATV’s;
-Driver was wearing a yellow high visibility jacket.
Description of Stolen items:
-Heavy duty black flat deck utility trailer with a locked cage, BC Licence plate of 41922U;
-Blue 2020 Yamaha ATV, BC Licence Plate 19256X;
-Green Yamaha ATV (no licence plate attached).
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and suspect vehicle. If you were driving in the area on June 16 between the hours of 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. and have in car video please review it in case you have captured the suspect on video.

Theft of Food Mixer

Saanich Police would like to identify this man who stole a Kitchen Aid mixer from a store in the Saanich Centre.

The theft took place on 15th February at midday.

The value of the mixer was $470.00.

Saanich Police would like help in identifying the suspect pictured, who stole a scooter .

The victim rode their scooter to work at a local deli on Vanalman Avenue and secured it. When they went to go home, they discovered that their scooter had been stolen. This was their only independent means of transport.

A review of CCTV footage shows this person with the scooter and load it into a silver Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle was driven by a woman with long hair. The male is described as white, around 5’10”-6′ tall, short wavy greying hair ,wearing a black leather jacket. A brown dog was also seen in the rear of the car.

Despite extensive enquires the police have been unable to identify the suspects.
