On August 9^th, 2023, A Red 1988 BMW convertible was stolen from Victoria. At 1640 hrs, a white male, approximately 40 years old, was observed to drive the vehicle into the parking lot of the Esso Gas Station located at 5529 Sooke Road. While there, he removed the hard top from the convertible and then headed West on Sooke Road. The vehicle was later recovered by police on West Coast Road near China Beach. Sooke RCMP have tried numerous investigative  means to identify the suspect, but are now asking for the publics assistance.

The subject male is described as:

• Caucasian, slender with no visible tattoos.
• Clean shaven with short brown hair
• Wearing a red and black baseball cap with a black logo, grey-rolled up pants with a black belt, white socks and white and black skateboard shoes.
