Red the Redbone Coon Hound was stolen out of his owners car on Friday 22 September 2017. The car was parked by Save On Foods at Tillicum Mall. It was around 11.30am. There has been a potential sighting of him Downtown Victoria but at this time it has not been confirmed.

West Shore RCMP is looking to identify the woman in the pictures, who robbed a business in the 1800 block of the Island Highway. She is described as white, late 40’s to early 50’s, with brown hair and was said to have a deep woman’s voice. She drove off in a dark sedan with a passenger.

Over the summer months, a group of vandals have been hard at work damaging a building in the 2400 block of Arbutus road. Graffiti was drawn over walls, windows were smashed and a fire extinguisher let off. Saanich Police dept would like to know who is behind these crimes.

Saanich Police are looking to identify the female in the pictures, who was captured on surveillance video stealing licence plates from a vehicle. The female arrived and left in the dark coloured vehicle also shown in the pictures. In addition to the pictures she is described as white, approximately 5ft 3” and in her 30’s. Her hair is brown and was tied up in a messy bun.

Police are investigating a recent rash of thefts from Vending Machines throughout the Greater Victoria Region. Thieves are gaining access to the cash boxes by drilling out the lock mechanism before making off with the money inside.

Saanich Police are currently investigating several thefts of solar panels, 12v deep cycle batteries and copper wire from mobile message boards around Saanich.  Total value of damaged and stolen property is close to $10,000.00.

There has been an increase of graffiti being drawn in the Greater Victoria area. Beckwith Park in particular has been targeted. Saanich Police are investigating a series of tags that have been left there.

Saanich Police are asking your assistance to solve a B&E that took place on March 6, 2017 in the 5000 block of Hunt Road. Thieves broke into several buildings on the property and stole thousands of dollars in Fishing equipment, a Kona Mountain Bike, 2 expensive construction lasers and a 2005 Kawasaki KX 250 Motocross motorcycle.

Saanich Police are looking to identify a man who stole an iPhone SE from the Telus store in Tillicum Mall. The theft happened in January and it is hoped that the man can be identified by somebody. West Shore RCMP is investigating a Break and Enter that took place on March 6^th at a Shell Gas Station located on West Shore Pkwy in Langford.  Two Suspects rammed a Ford F250 through the glass doors and stole an ATM containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

Saanich Police are looking to identify this male suspect who is responsible for the use of stolen credit cards.  The suspect made purchases with the stolen cards in the downtown area of Victoria. VicPD are asking for your assistance in identifying thieves who broke into a business in the 800 block of Viewfield Rd over the Christmas Holidays, stealing a large metal shelving system. On February 2nd a suspect broke into a shed by cutting the metal screen securing it closed. The property attacked was in the 3600 block of Harriet Road. Stolen was a distinctive mountain bike.

The model was a Knolly Endorphin 20 speed mountain bike. Its value is $5800.00. It is distinctive because it has been customised with white ”SPANK” rims and a matt black frame with black lettering on it.

The suspect discarded another bike in its place. This was a Rocky mountain bike.

Saanich Police would like help in identifying the female shown. She is responsible for the brazen theft of a backpack at a business at Burnside Road East on Thursday 19^th January. The bag had been briefly placed on the ground when she came and stole it. She later attended a nearby hotel where she discarded some of the items in the bag.

The stolen red Oakley backpack contained a higher than normal amount of cash as the owner was about to bank their business earnings for the week and pay their rent. Also stolen was a brand new I pod, a Sanyo surveillance camera, a large amount of loonies and toonies, and various phone chargers and cords.

Saanich Police are looking to identify the persons responsible for a Break and Enter of a home under renovation in the 4900 blk of Cordova Bay Road. Thieves stole $8000.00 in stainless steel appliances. On November 5^th, 2016 the unidentified male in the picture entered a business in the 900 block of Government Street and stole a jade carving valued at $4500.00. The suspect is described as a white male, late 30s to early 40s, 6’0, slim to average build, short balding light brown hair, and clean shaven. Sometime overnight on Wednesday September 21, 2016, unknown culprit(s) broke into Our Lady of Assumption Church located at 7742 West Saanich Rd. Saanich police are investigating a spate of bicycle thefts that have happened through September.

Three areas have been targeted, the university and its family housing, the Cedar Hill Cross Roads to Mckenzie  Avenue area and between Burnside Rd E and Douglas Street.

The suspects have cut off locks in order to steal the bikes as well as removing them from car ports and in one case from a car’s bike rack.

Models of bikes stolen vary but include a gray Davinci Jack mountain bike with yellow accents, an orange Norco9.2 and 2 children’s BMX bikes.

Saanich Police are investigating a break and enter that took place in the past week at Home Depot Shelbourne Street.

Suspects entered the locked section of the garden centre and stole a Dewalt Compressor and a Dewalt Miter saw. The combined value of the items taken is $1300.00.

Just after 7 a.m. on Tuesday August 2^nd, VicPD officers and Victoria Fire Department firefighters were called to a grass fire in Reeson park, located in the 1200-block of Wharf Street. The fire was quickly extinguished without further incident and there were no injuries, despite the extremely dry conditions.

Witnesses told officers that a man had deliberately set the fire. Photographs of the man are below.

The person officers are looking to identify is described as a Caucasian male, standing five feet, nine inches tall, with a medium build, aged approximately 25-30 years.  At the time of the fire, he was wearing a yellow hoodie, black pants with a red and white stripe down the leg, and a black cap with yellow writing on the brim. He carried a large duffel bag or backpack over one shoulder.

Oak Bay Police are currently investigating a day time residential B&E that took place on July 9, in the 2900 block of Foul Bay Road. Thieves broke a window to gain access to the home, where they found and stole $7500.00 worth of jewelry.
