Victoria Police are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked assault that took place on Thursday the 6th of August at about 2pm.
The victim was a lady who was working in the community garden at Cecelia Ravine park when she noticed what appeared to be a lost black Labrador. She approached the dog and took some photos of it on her phone. As she did this she was suddenly assaulted from behind by a man. He pushed her to the ground and threw her phone into the ravine. He then went over to a tent that was nearby and packed it up quickly. He was accompanied by a female and the dog running off along Cecelia Road.
The man is described as white, in his early 20’s, about 5ft6”, slim build. He wore a football jersey with the number 44 on the back. He had a baseball cap on and shorts. The female was riding an orange bicycle and wore a halter style top. She had pink hair.
